New Patient Consultation:
All new patients will need a new patient consultation. A new patient consultation includes a comprehensive review of your medical history and current medical concerns. We will identify your overall health goals and begin establishing a plan that can include but is not limited to diet, exercise, medication modifications, supplements, lab work, imaging, or other required testing or outside referrals. We will make a plan for what your short and long-term treatment needs are with High West Medical.
Lab Review
This is a comprehensive lab review from the lab panel ordered during your consultation. We will design a custom treatment plan and discuss what path you’d like your health to take. We will prescribe any necessary medications, provide supplement recommendations, and refer you to medical specialists who should be covered under your insurance plan if needed. Our lab reviews can vary in time based on complexity.
Basic Wellness Follow-Up:
This can include but is not limited to reviewing and updating treatment plans, providing referrals, ordering new labs, making medication changes, and making a plan for diet and exercise.
Complex Wellness Follow-Up:
A Complex Wellness Follow-Up is for patients requiring more time than what’s provided in a Basic Wellness Follow-up. This can include but is not limited to reviewing and updating treatment plans, providing referrals, ordering new labs, making medication changes, and making a plan for diet and exercise.
Weight Loss using Semaglutide:
This includes a prescription for Semaglutide and an appointment with Dr. Nelson. A prescription typically lasts a patient 4 to 12 weeks, but this varies depending on your dosing schedule. There is no monthly membership required with this program, and you only need an appointment/check-in with a provider when a new prescription is due. No refills will be provided for an existing prescription. When the prescription runs out, an appointment is required. Please contact us 2-4 weeks before your prescription runs out.
Weight Loss using Tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound):
Medication Management/Refill:
This appointment is required for medication refills, dose changes, and management. The frequency of this appointment will be decided between the patient and provider based on how often medications are legally able to be refilled at a time (for example, testosterone replacement therapy requires an appointment every six months; stimulant medications require an appointment every three months). The price of the appointment depends on the length and complexity of the appointment ranging from $75 – $95
Hormone Therapy Class for Medical Providers:
We offer an approximately three-hour one-on-one virtual hormone therapy class for providers looking to start or expand their hormone practice. After this course is purchased and Dr. Nelson and you review your practice, this course will be customized to your individual needs. During this interactive online class, we will cover everything from basic to in-depth hormone management. We will review how to order and read patient labs. We will discuss medication treatment options, including but not limited to oral medications, topical medications, injectable medications, and hormone pellets. We will also discuss traditional prescription medications and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. Previous providers have reviewed a current patient’s labs and formulated a plan with my input. Other providers choose to use my guidance on lab panels, and we’ve met a second time to review the labs and create a patient plan. I will review up to three patients’ lab panels post-training if requested.
There is a 20% discount for each additional provider if multiple providers attend the class. Please reach out with any questions.
Cancellation/no-show fee: $50 for all patients who do not attend a scheduled appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours notice to the clinic.
Specialty Testing Review
Please note: While time is a factor, pricing is also based on the complexity of your visit. This includes the level of clinical decision-making, follow-up recommendations, and any referrals or additional coordination needed to support your care. If a referral requires extensive preparation or documentation, a $50 administrative fee may be applied per referral.
If an issue arises and requires significant communication outside of a scheduled appointment — such as extensive email or text messaging — a $50 fee may be applied to cover the additional time and attention needed.
